Community Clean Up

Get down and dirty with your neighbors for Earth Day! Neighborhoods across the City of Grand Rapids will be joining forces to help pick up trash in the parks and public spaces across town. All participants will be granted access to an amazing afterparty at the Zoo featuring free food, beer tent, kids activities, and more.

When you SIGN UP, simply select the neighborhood you live in or want to clean up in.

The Rapid will be offering free bus rides to all participants to the afterparty.

Event schedule:
8:30am - 9:30am: Check in
9:30am - 11:30am: Clean up time!
12pm - 3pm: Afterparty at the zoo

Neighbors of Belknap Lookout presents a FREE series of engaging and informative talks with local changemakers! Events are free and open to the public!
For our May event, we're excited to welcome Colleen Lang, Belknap resident and Corewell Health's Medical Director of Addiction Medicine. She has received recognition in the field for her transformative approach to addiction medicine. During her talk, she will provide an overview of the most common substances used today, treament options that are available in our community, and provide training on how and when to administer the lifesaving drug Narcan.
Event takes place at The Newberry Common House (800 Livingston Ave NE, Grand Rapids MI 49503) at the corner of Livingston & Newberry.

Neighbors of Belknap Lookout presents a FREE series of engaging and informative talks with local changemakers! Events are free and open to the public! Our guest speaker for June is Travis Kurtz, Community Science Coordinator for John Ball Zoo! We're gonna explore how we can support and attract wildlife and pollinators through native habitat restoration. PLUS! All attendees will get to leave with a native plant or two for their home gardens.
